How to Unlock Untouchable
One hit anywhere in Sky Abyss means starting your no-hit attempt over. The Sword of the Sea Untouchable trophy requires defeating Tornamun without taking a single hit throughout the final boss encounter. Finish the fight cleanly, then let the credits run to the end for the unlock.
Untouchable is a Silver trophy on PS5, and the encounter covers all of Chapter 8: Sky Abyss. That includes the tower climb before you begin directly attacking the boss.
Finish the story normally before working on this challenge. Completing the game unlocks chapter select, letting you replay Sky Abyss without repeating the entire adventure. Use that first encounter to learn all three sections; there are no checkpoints during the fight, so taking damage late in an attempt still means replaying the final level.

Phase One: Climb the Tower and Avoid Falling Rocks
The opening climb, beneath the orange sky, gives you room to adjust to surfing around the tower without incoming attacks. Practice steering around its circumference before the dangerous section begins.

When the sky darkens and the tower breaks apart, use fully charged jumps to cross the gaps. Keep your double jump available to correct a jump that falls short.
Once Tornamun starts throwing rocks, focus on your route:
- Keep circling the tower. Move around its surface while watching for incoming rocks.
- Steer through clear spaces. Adjust your direction when a rock blocks your current path.
- Watch both waves. Clearing the first barrage does not finish this hazard; another follows around the section with boost spots.
Avoid stopping directly in the path of falling debris. Keeping some sideways movement gives you more room to steer away when a rock approaches.
The later halfpipe with boosters and the floating-fish section provide a break before the next combat phase. Use that stretch to settle your movement before entering the clouds.
Phase Two: Survive the Cloud Halfpipe
Collect fish to build your attack charge, then launch attacks when ready. Your shots will connect without precise aiming, so concentrate on positioning and avoiding damage while charging the next one.

On PS5, the attack prompt uses Square; on PC, it uses E. Follow the displayed prompt if you have changed your controls.
Tornamun uses three main attacks here, each demanding a different response:
| Attack | What to watch for | How to avoid it |
|---|---|---|
| Sweeping fire beam | A beam directed into the halfpipe | Stay inside the halfpipe and jump back and forth over the beam |
| Fire trail | Fire spreading across the entire halfpipe | Jump out of the pipe before it arrives; use your double jump to remain above it |
| Meteor shower | Highlighted impact zones on the surface | Hold a steady course, then steer out of each marked area |
Keep Beam Dodges Controlled
For the directed beam, avoid relying on one long aerial escape. Landing back in the halfpipe while the beam is beneath you can spoil the attempt.
Instead, stay within the pipe and jump across the beam as it moves. Keep those crossings deliberate so you retain control over where you land.
The full-width fire trail requires a different response: leave the halfpipe and use your double jump to clear the danger.
Stop Chasing Charges During Meteors
When meteors begin falling, prioritize the highlighted landing zones. Hold a steadier line and steer toward the nearest clear space before each impact.
Avoid repeatedly launching high up the halfpipe during this attack. Long jumps leave less opportunity to correct your position when a new impact zone appears beneath you.
Resume collecting charges once the barrage ends. Keep attacking during safer openings so the encounter progresses.
Phase Three: Navigate the Whirlpool and Fire Rings
The final section puts you inside a water tube that you can surf around completely, including its walls and ceiling. Use that full circumference to collect charges and escape attacks.

Circle Away From the Beam
When Tornamun fires its beam, keep rotating around the tube in one direction. Continuous movement carries you away from the beam while letting you collect more charges.
After enough damage, the dolphin arrives for an energy-orb volley. Repeatedly press the displayed attack button through this sequence; precise timing is unnecessary. Continue pressing it when you reach Tornamun’s head.
Read Each Fire Wall Before Reacting
The next attacks require you to distinguish between two shapes:
- Long fire walls with an opening: Rotate around the tube to find the clear gap. Do not try to jump across their length.
- Complete fire rings: Jump over them because there is no opening around the circumference. Use a charged jump to clear the ring.
Keep your movement controlled during these patterns. Avoid unnecessary airtime, and focus on clearing the next obstacle before pursuing another charge.
When the simpler beam attack returns, circle away from it and use the opening to collect charges and deal damage. Continue alternating between attacking and dodging until the shark arrives.
The shark sequence works like the dolphin volley: repeatedly press the attack prompt through the exchanges. Keep pressing during the final attacks against Tornamun’s head to finish the encounter.
Faster Restarts and Missing Trophy Fixes
The September 19, 2025 update made final-chapter retries faster by skipping the intro cutscene when using Restart Chapter or loading the level through chapter select. The September 23, 2025 update fixed an issue that prevented a trophy or achievement from being awarded correctly when the final level was started through chapter select.
That makes older instructions about mandatory opening cutscenes or needing New Game+ outdated for this retry route.
If you take a hit, use Restart Chapter for another full attempt. Do not continue expecting a later phase transition to erase the damage.
If you finish without being hit but receive no immediate notification:
- Let the entire credits finish. Untouchable unlocks at the end, rather than immediately after Tornamun falls.
- Check that your game is updated. The September 23 fix specifically addresses final-level chapter-select awards.
- Include the tower in your damage check. A rock hit during the opening climb invalidates the attempt even if both later phases are flawless.
